Dear class,

How time flies! I still remember the first day I walked into your class and all your 'blur' faces staring at me.
Thank you for a great year. Indeed we have braved so many 'storms' but we had our special moments as well, which I will hold dear to my heart.
Thanks for being there for me, even when I was away at the beginning of the year. I hope to be here for you and stand by you through the coming trial you have to face.
I believe in you. Not some of you. All of you...every single one of you.
I'm proud to be your form teacher. =)

This poem speaks of my wish for you. Never give up, never surrender.

Don't Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will;
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill;
When the funds are low, and the debts are high;
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh;
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
And you can never tell how close you are;
It may be near when it seems afar.
So, stick to the fight when you're hardest hit -
It's when things go wrong that you mustn't quit.

Loving you,
Miss Elise Yu

Eye Power

Hi class,

Here's something you can try as an excuse to take a break from your work!
Enjoy!

Cheers,
Miss Elise Yu

Stare at the black cross in the middle for 10 - 20 seconds.

You will begin to notice something strange happening.
A demonstration of the lilac chaser optical illusion, also known as the Pac-Man illusion. When one stares at the cross in the center of the image for 10–20 seconds, two effects will appear in order: One, the moving empty space between dots will appear as a green dot. Two, the moving green dot will appear to wipe out the purple dots, until only the green dot is visible. A separate effect appears if the eyes move away from the center, showing a ring of green dots.

Dear class,

I came across this article from a magazine and I thought it will be interesting to share with you people since friendship problems are usually a struggle for many of you at this age, especially the girls. I cannot safely say that the checklist will be totally accurate in assessing your friendship, but at least I feel the article brings about an important point - how to tell true friendship from relationships that make use of you.

Coinciding with the up-coming World Day, it will be beneficial as occupiers of this planet that we take the happenings and changes to our planet to heart.

Articles to Share

Enjoy the reads!

Cheers,
Miss Yu

Dear class,

I have been too busy to realise the comments on the YouTube video I posted on the Egyptian Dance. I do apologise for not asking some of you for permission first so I decided to take it off and labelled for private viewing.

Thanks to you if you are the one who rebutted to one person who posted mean comments on it. At first I was quite upset at how unreasonable this person is, however on second thoughts, I don't think I need to be bothered by his comment if he/she is so shallow. Thanks for your defence anyway. =)

Regards,
Miss Yu

Dear class,

How has school been for you? I did not realise that I will miss all of you. I've been resting at home and most times, my thoughts will be focused on how you all are doing in school.

Try to be attentive, respect your classmates and teachers, and do your best in your work.
I know you can behave if you choose to and I hope when I come back, your attitude towards learning will still be positively glowing.

Leave your comments and I do check the blog every now and then. Thanks for many of your well wishes and prayers. Hoping to see you all soon.

Take care!

Love,
Miss Elise Yu

Dear class,

I do apologise for not being able to be there for a month. I actually went for an operation and needed time to recuperate. It was quite sudden and I didn't know how to prepare you. Rest assured that you are in good hands and be sure to listen to the new teacher till I get back. I will be checking this blog regularly so if you need anything, you may add in your comments or use the chat board. Continue to do your best in your work and be on your best behaviour. These will be a great help to me. Will be missing you till I get back.

God bless!

Love,
Miss Yu
